Many of these microbes are mostly harmless bacteria that live naturally as the oil produced in the hair follicles under the skin. However, many people who suffer from acne have brought many of these bacteria is their skin.

Cosmetics.

Acne is caused by cosmetics, is called "Acne Cosmetica." Typically, this mild form of acne appears on the face, forehead and neck, and is triggered when cosmetic ingredients clog pores, leading to an accumulation of oil that cause acne.

Medication.

Increase in acne is caused by certain medications, including certain types of birth control and steroids. Talk to your doctor if you suspect your acne is caused by a drug.
